About Us

History:

Founded in 1971 by Jim’s father – Bill Seibold – then Seibold & Associates was one of the first regional manufacturer rep firms in our industry.  Bill and his son Jim, with the help of some really great sales professionals like Dick Farley in southern and central Ohio and Indiana and in central and western Michigan, grew Seibold & Associates to an industry leader.  Jim joined the firm in the early 80’s and has been dedicated to growing sales since.

Jim Seibold became the owner as Bill retired in the mid 90’s.  Bill continues to work for us part-time and act as a valuable consultant as our “Chairman Emeritus”.  Seibold & Associates grew and thrived during this transition.

In 2004, Marty Baker bought into the firm as an equal partner with Jim and we became Seibold Baker Associates.  The firm set upon a different and what has proven highly successful strategy of attracting and retaining the very best sales talent available with the addition of two new partners:  Gerald Shannon in Cincinnati in 2005 and Brent Weirtz in Columbus in 2007.  Both came to Seibold Baker having owned their own rep firms.  Seibold Baker has experienced significant sales growth with this expansion and opened its second showroom in Cincinnati in the summer of 2007.  Unfortunately, Gerald left Seibold Baker in September 2009 to join one of our customers; RJE in Cincinnati.  His contributions will live on as we seek to continue to grow and improve.

The sales expansion has continued with the addition of two new sales associates.  Doreen Dal Santo joined us in June 2009 and is based in Grand Rapids, MI.  In October 2009 Melissa Watson, based in Indianapolis, became the newest member of our team as Seibold Baker looks to add more value to both our clients and the manufacturer partners we represent.
