Here in the Midwest we appreciate and value the outdoors both for its beauty and the scarcity with which we get to enjoy it.  A large part of what we do at Seibold+Baker is committing to brands which not only embody the great outdoors but actively go out of their way to sustain it.

We are happy to announce Vondom has now launched 5 collections made exclusively from recovered ocean plastics.  Vondom strives to be much more than just a design forward furniture brand. They are committed and responsible for ensuring a better, more sustainable future.

Eco-intelligence forms part of Vondom’s values because one must seek to change themselves before they attempt to change the world. Vondom Revolution seeks to embody that responsibility and is a philosophy based on creating experiences that leave a mark on the world while contributing something different to society.  With that in mind, Vondom has worked hard with their master designers to create unique, exclusive and timeless pieces using sustainable, recycled and recyclable materials.

Revolution is a collection created through the transformation of recycled ocean plastics.  A commitment to sustainable design is the aim Vondom uses to pioneer this eco-revolution.  They are listening to nature and want to be the leader in eco-intelligent furniture design:

1.    Protect: Clean and repair our seas by using ocean plastics from bottles, nets, and fishing supplies.  Working with local fisherman on the Balearic Islands Vondom procures this waste.

2.    Innovate: Convert that plastic waste into useable and beautiful products; making sure those products are also recyclable to ensure they do not pollute at the end of their use.

3.    Optimize: Upcycling and durability.  Creating a world where pieces last well beyond their useful life cycle through recycling, upcycling, and of course product quality.
